Jack McDevitt fala sobre a escrita...
"I periodically do workshops with people who want to be writers. When I ask them what they think a writer does, they usually say 'tell stories'. And that's not true. What a writer does is create an experience. When it rains in your novel, the readers get wet. When characters are saddened by events, the reader should sit with a tear running down his cheek. You can't accomplish that by simply telling the reader that a character is sad. You've got to create things in such a way that the reader actually goes through the experience."
